These are plain-language launch terms for Frontroom. They should be reviewed by counsel before public release. They are based on the current app scope: local-first use, optional account sign-in, optional cloud backup/sync, optional Pro purchases, and import/export tools.
By using Frontroom, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Account sign-in and cloud features require confirming that you are at least 13 and accepting the terms and privacy policy.
Frontroom is a local-first private shared-memory and presence app for plural systems. It supports system records, members, folders, tags, custom fields, custom fronts, fronting and co-fronting, front history, notes, journal entries, private feed posts, comments, reactions, Simply Plural import, local backup/export/restore, optional app lock, optional cloud backup/sync, and optional Pro features.
Frontroom is not a clinical app, healthcare provider, therapy service, crisis service, emergency service, or public social network. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, public profiles, public discovery, followers, or a public social graph.
Frontroom's core app can be used locally without an account. Account sign-in and cloud backup/sync are optional features. Cloud features require internet access and may depend on providers such as app stores, sign-in providers, cloud hosting, and subscription services.
Cloud backup/sync is designed around snapshots and account restore. It is not real-time collaboration, and it may not prevent every conflict, interruption, failed upload, failed restore, or mistaken edit.
You keep your rights to the content and records you put in Frontroom. You give us the limited permission needed to operate features you choose, such as account sign-in, cloud backup, cloud restore, subscription entitlement checks, support, and legal compliance.
You are responsible for the records, images, files, imports, exports, and backups you create or choose to share. Do not import, upload, or share content unless you have the right to do so.
Frontroom includes migration tools, including Simply Plural import support. Import tools may not perfectly preserve every field, file, relationship, or unsupported feature from another service. Unsupported imported data may be kept as a read-only archive when feasible.
Local exports and backup files are intended to help you leave, restore, or safeguard your records. Frontroom local backup exports are readable files and are not encrypted by Frontroom. Protect exported files yourself.
Optional app lock uses your device's local authentication when available. It is a privacy convenience and not a promise that nobody else can access your device, files, backups, screenshots, notifications, or operating-system storage. Keep your device and exported files protected.
Frontroom may offer optional Pro features such as expression tools, convenience features, widgets, recaps, cloud backup, or sync. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods are handled through the app stores and purchase providers. The purchase screen controls the current price, billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation path.
Frontroom should not charge for the local system record, import/export, deletion, or basic safety of leaving with your data.
Do not use Frontroom or its networked services to:
Frontroom may change, pause, remove, or limit beta, cloud, purchase, or networked features. We may suspend or terminate access to account or networked services for abuse, security risk, legal compliance, or violation of these terms. Local data already stored on your device is controlled by your device and app install.
Frontroom is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that the app, imports, exports, backups, restores, sync, purchases, or cloud services will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or compatible with every file, device, provider, or future service change.
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost goodwill, or service interruptions. Some places do not allow some limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We may update these terms as Frontroom changes. If a change meaningfully affects account, cloud, purchase, or data-handling terms, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
